Today we had our first show of the year,
I noticed that I hadn’t trained for a couple of weeks and it showed in my performance and the results that come with that… Ad to this a Bob who, due to his age, refuses to listen at the moment and you can imagine the results.
We began the day with a BBQ, and silly enough that was nice! After having our breakfast we started the show of with a defile where the owners and the dogs where introduced to the audience. After this we started the first agility round in the midi group. Here we had Mark with Nika and Zeus, Christina with Bimba and Frederic with Nina. After their round we had Elena with Urko. Urko is a dog that, after being hit by a car and a lot of operations, runs through life with a “wheel chair”.
When they had done their round it was the turn to the standard group. Here we had Maria-Rosa with Picio, Alex with Thaia, Mark with Jim, Manoli with Judas and Fenix and me with Tequilla and Bob.
With both of the dogs I didn’t do a good round.
I made a mistake with one of the obstacles and due to that I ran in tequillas way. Because of this she got confused and didn’t know where to go. With Bob I did exactly the same thing plus with him I had the bonus of not listening. Two very bad rounds!
The last round we had was a K.O. (a match between two dogs).
Bob had a competition against Zeus. As soon we had to start Bob made a runner to Zeus, to play with him… we had a restart and imagine my surprise that we actually won this round!! Straight after we had to compete against Nina and this one we lost.
Tequilla had to run against Judas. Judas won but only just.
The overall winner of the K.O. was Salvador with Fenix.

After all this excitement it was time to clear the ring and drive home.
I think we all had a fun morning and I hope we will return here next year. Hopefully I will do better then…
