Tequilla came into our lives after we asked our friend Elly if she knew of a puppy for us to take care of. Here is the result.
Tequilla doesn't have a pedigree, Dutch Shepherds are Black she is Blond, but is still a Dutch Shepherd.
Dutch Shepherds are very strong willed and the first 18 months were a battle of wills, which at one time we thought we would lose. When she was 9 months old we went to our friends dog-training club who specialise in training Dobermans and larger breeds.
Originally we went for obedience training but soon found agility training which Tequilla loved, lots of work and obedience too. She is now very well behaved and obedient. We wouldn't be without her.
In 2005 we made a move from Holland and England to Spain. We continued training here in Spain with a Spanish club and actually started to enter competitions.
In the summertime when the weather is hot we have a daily swim in the pool, in the wintertime long walks are the order of the day. Tequilla loves a day in the pool with a ball, and if it sinks she barks at it. Dog’s idea of funny!!!!
Since Bob came in to her life Tequilla turned in to a grown up dog. She tries to be his mother and is guarding him with her life. This is just to make sure nobody touches him without her permission.
